Conversation is not limited to words. Nature is communicating with us constantly, if only we slow down enough to listen.

How can we slow down

But slowing down is easier said than done.

With our busy lives, the constant information input our brains need to process, and our focus geared towards performance, pace, and achievement: how do we get to slow down?

And even more importantly: How do we become quiet enough to be able to listen?

Not just to the natural world around us, but also to our unique, inner voice? Our compass to navigate these increasingly challenging times?

The answer is surprisingly simple: by remembering our intuitive skills.

And with that, remembering that we have more capabilities than just our clever brains. Our intuition is intricately linked to our five senses, and it is our superpower. The one thing A.I. will not be able to beat us in. That, and our ability to love. Fiercely, protectively, and abundantly.

Our mission

Wild Allies' mission is to help people remember their intuitive skills.

And in a second step, to actively use those skills to communicate. With the natural world, and with their inner wisdom. A wisdom that goes much deeper than the knowledge they have acquired over time.

Why is that our mission?

Because we are convinced that re-entering into a relationship with the natural world might just be the most powerful tool at our disposal to still turn things around for the planet. And for us.

We know from personal experience that intuitive Nature communication is a magnificent short-cut to reconnection. Because it directly enables a relationship that is two-sided. Between two equal partners. And it can be applied instantly.

How

Re-entering into an intuitive relationship with Nature starts with reconnecting with ourselves.

This doesn't have to be a long, arduous process. All it takes is a simple, easy-to-learn technique to remember how to turn inwards and become quiet. And from that quiet place reach out and enter into communication with the living world outside the human bubble. How? That's where we come in.

Wild Allies offers tailormade workshops for individuals, groups and organisations who are looking for a way to reconnect with Nature.

And in the process reconnect with themselves. In order to feel more grounded, serene, and hopeful in the face of the multiple crises of our times. And to make a difference for the natural world. Every human that reaches out and reconnects has a positive impact on Nature. More than we are aware of.

The workshop

How do the workshops look like?

The workshops are about 3 hours long; workshop languages are English, German, and Dutch. While it is possible to provide the workshops online, the preference is to come together in person in a place that is connected to the natural world. Wild Allies is based in the Netherlands, but workshops can also be provided in Germany, the UK, and the Scandinavian countries.

Workshops are structured in three parts: a theoretical part, a practical part, and a part for sharing, questions, and some advice on how to practice at home.

Part one

The theoretical part

Participants are re-introduced to the concept of intuitive connection and communication: what does it look like, how is it being used, what's the science behind it, and other aspects.

Part two

The practical part

Is all about giving workshop participants an idea of how such an intuitive connection can feel like. This is the fun part. Through breathwork, sensory exercises and a guided connection, participants are given an opportunity to practice tuning in and communicating with an element of Nature they love. Usually, this will be an animal. The practical part of the workshop is by far the more important part. The physically rooted experience of the consciousness 'on the other side' is more convincing than any theoretical lecture can be. And has the potential to be life changing.

Part three

The final part

Is about understanding and integrating the experiences made during the practical part. A save space for sharing and asking questions.

The workshop closes with practical tips on how to train your intuition, and a five-minute exercise to take home. So that this will not be a one-time event but the beginning of a beautiful partnership with the natural world.

Who is giving the workshops?

The workshops are provided by Christine van Leeuwenstijn (née Sponholz).

I am a translator and intuitive animal communicator, working with pet guardians and nature lovers. While I love translating between humans and animals, I want to do more: I have realised that my ability to intuitively communicate with an animal has dramatically changed all areas of my life and has helped me move from a feeling of despair about the state of the natural world to a feeling of hope, and the realisation that I am far less alone than I thought. Which is why I have decided that this simple and easy-to-learn tool to reconnect should not only be taught to people interested in intuitive animal communication but needs to be made accessible to a wider audience. To help people become more human again, and to help the natural world by bringing as many of us as possible back into relationship with her.

I have received professional training (both online and offline) from Symone Ottevangers (comuniceren-met-dieren.nl), Pea Horsley (animalthoughts.com), Dr Saskia von Diest (ecofluency.org), Wynter Worsthorne (animaltalkafrica.co.za), and James French (trust-technique.com).

I am a member of several international professional animal communicator circles that meet online to cooperate in wildlife protection work, exchange knowledge and experience, and provide support to one another.

I am also a member of the Global Alliance for the Rights of Nature (GARN), the German Netzwerk Rechte der Natur, and the Confluence of European Waterbodies, an interdisciplinary network of more than 35 grassroot initiatives, artists, and legal experts aiming to protect European rivers, seas, lakes, and glaciers by advocating for their recognition as legal entities.

What if the animal I am communicating with is angry with humanity and lets me feel this anger?

Our experience is that the natural world is not angry with us. Maybe a little exasperated, like a parent feels about their two-year old running havoc. Nature is waiting for us to reconnect and figure out together with her how to solve this mess we have made. Because the natural world and we are in this together. And we all want to survive. In fact, we are much more loved by the natural world than we think.

What if I get to feel all the pain and suffering that we humans cause?

It's true, sometimes we get to feel this pain. But there are ways to manage these emotions, which will be taught in the workshop. Ultimately, being present and acknowledging the pain is an incredible gift we can make. Often, we cannot do anything about what causes the pain, but by acknowledging it we help. Much more than we would expect.

What if during the workshop I discover that intuitive Nature communication is not for me? Will I have wasted my time and money?

Even if you decide not to explore intuitive Nature communication further, you will leave with a breathing exercise that will help you calm your nervous system, anker yourself and reduce feelings of anxiety, overwhelm and stress. And with practical tips on how to train your intuition as a compass to navigate difficult life decisions, so you will find it easier in future to choose the option that serves you best. And last but not least: the way you look at and relate to the natural world (and your pet if you have one) will have changed, whether you continue to intuitively communicate or not.

Isn't this just some 'New Age' thing with no scientific basis?

Intuitive interspecies communication has been practiced for as long as humans have walked the Earth. In many parts of the world, it continues to be an accepted method to foster positive human-wildlife relations and sustainable farming. In recent decades, interest in how to intuitively communicate with other species has also grown in Western cultures, not least due to the rise of initiatives such as the Rights of Nature and Nature on the Board. Science has discovered intuitive interspecies communication as an interesting field of research and there is an increasing number of research programmes under way, among others at the University of Saskatchewan in Canada and the Université de Liège in Belgium.

Isn't this just a way of humanizing animals and the natural world in general?

It's actually the opposite. When engaging in intuitive interspecies communication, we let go (to the extent possible) of all the things that are typically human, in other words: the analytical mind that wants to receive information and interpret it, and the notion that we are 'more apt/better equipped' to solve a specific problem than the rest of nature. We don't engage in some sort of roleplay where we try to think or act like the animal. In fact, we don't do anything, other than becoming quiet and opening up, receiving in as neutral a state as possible. In a way, engaging in intuitive communication is not humanizing the rest of Nature, it is re-naturalizing us humans. That is the great potential of it.
